How to stop overthinking?
How to Stop Overthinking Over thinking is just a step ahead of being passionate. It is a very good quality. But in the other hand if it is not known to keep within the limit it may tip the scale of balance and things may come tumbling down. Overthinking is a usually a result of restlessness. Due to age factors, when we are young doing tasks we like, setting big dreams and goals. Some of us start overthinking instead of planning the required path to reach our goal. This is common.
Take the first step.

The First Step Can Change Everything
The first post or article we write.
The first song we compose or sing.
The first dish we cook.
The first audition we go to.
The first presentation we make.
The first rock we climb.
The first fear we conquer.
The first emotional victory we achieve.
The first business step.
The first day of being clean.
First steps lead to bigger steps.
This I have seen.
How to Stop Overthinking About Someone
Here is a simple strategy that many people have found useful for speeding up decision making. It is a way of overcoming procrastination in general, and does not take a lot of effort. However, it needs consistent practice if you want it to be effective for the rest of your life. I have used it daily for years.
I call the strategy Thinking and Doing.
First of all, a couple of points about why procrastination is such a popular, but frustrating, pastime.
1. Delaying making a decision is a “safe thing” to do, because it prevents you from making a mistake right now.
2. The trouble is, every time you delay, you get a small feeling of relief, but automatically your brain makes you more anxious about making future decisions.
3. So you end up in a vicious cycle where your delaying behavior is rewarded, and your decision-making becomes more difficult.
So how do you reverse this destructive process?
We all know that the standard answer for getting over our fears is to face them. The question is how to learn to face them and win.
And the answer is to practice first with making easy trivial decisions. Each day you need to practice making rapid decisions about things that are slightly outside your comfort zone.
To give an example:
Whenever a thought comes into your head that requires an action, you decide to complete that action immediately, wherever practical.
To be more specific;
1. Each task needs to be done immediately, as it crops up in your head.
2. The tasks should be as simple as possible, such as:
o making a phone call you need to make,
o paying a bill,
o taking out the garbage,
o picking up a piece of clothing off the floor and putting it away,
o getting out of bed,
o doing the dishes
Whatever the task, make sure you do it
o as quickly as possible,
o as soon as possible,
o And don't stop until you have finished the task.
Decide to do at least 10 trivial tasks a day; the more the merrier.
Obviously what may be trivial for one person may be extremely difficult for the next. But the major point of this simple exercise is that the more of these trivial tasks you do, the sooner you will notice that it is getting easier to make decisions about more difficult tasks.
If you practice this simple exercise for a couple of weeks, you will notice a remarkable change:
· Your feelings of discomfort about decision-making will begin to subside.
· Rather than seeing the task as uncomfortable, you will begin to perceive it as challenging, exciting, and, on occasion, exhilarating.
· You will also begin to get a stronger feeling of being in control.
By facing these mild feelings of discomfort this way, you will find that it is a lot easier to make more rapid decisions about your more significant decisions.
Of course this does not mean that you won't make wrong decisions at times. But your fear of making mistakes will decrease as you find out that we can gain a lot of useful information from your errors.
Following Your Vision
The first step.
Taking it means not letting anything hold us back from our vision.
The weight of our parents' achievements and expectations.
The weight of the values (and sometimes hot buttons) of the people in our lives – our family and friends.
The weight of what everyone else is doing. (Majority thinking).
Following our vision will require us to be strong and individual.
We are socialized to think in terms of “what can I do which will make the maximum income and bestow on me the maximum status and allow me to buy a fancy house and furnish it with envious appliances and furnishings and have a fancy car and clothes to go with it and go on fancy vacations?”

How Can I Stop Overthinking
We will have to buck that.
We will have to ignore the voice in our heads that says “am I crazy – to be wanting to drive a garbage truck, to sell hamburgers from a cart? I should just follow the crowd.”
Don’t.
Don’t be afraid to think what you think.
Don’t be afraid to want what you want.
How Can I Stop Overthinking
Don’t be afraid of the ideas you have.
When people go on a vacation to Italy and we see the work of Michael Angelo or Leonardo da Vinci, no one stops to think:” Why aren’t our times like the Renaissance?
What would it take for a modern day Michael Angelo and a modern day Leonardo da Vinci to flourish?”
Maybe you have thoughts like this.
A Renaissance type flowering of the arts in our lives is possible.
I am not too cynical to hope for it in my lifetime.
One reason why artists flourished during the Renaissance was because people invited them to compete for art commissions.
Can we promote art in our times doing something similar?
I invite you to think about this.
I thought about it and came up with the idea of One Wall.
One Wall would be an online site which would showcase various artists who could offer their services to the public.
Maybe, like Michael Angelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, people could sign up to have a modern day Michael Angelo paint one wall of their home.
If everyone had one wall of their house painted by an artist, we would have a lot more art in our lives, it would help the arts to flourish, and we would cherish our houses more - think of them as beautiful keepsakes rather than as investments.

Anybody ready to take up the challenge of creating One Wall?
I hope someone somewhere will read this post and make it happen.
Or come up with their own idea to create a Renaissance in our times. The idea can be extended. One Song (you select from different bands to compose and perform one song for you – a birthday song, wedding song). One Skit.
And so on and so on.
But back to what I was saying …it all starts with taking the first step.
What are the first steps you have taken in your life?
And what first steps can you get ready to take?
What is big in your heart to do?
A new direction?
An unexplored creative pursuit?

Just one thing…..
